FUTURE LEADERS OF AMERICAN CHARTERS INC (FLAC) was established to tackle the social and educational challenges that families and children face in the Dallas-Ft Worth metroplex. This Dallas-Ft Worth nonprofit offers a unique approach to meeting the needs of individuals of all ages. We believe that individuals should learn how to function within a community where they can make friends, receive a quality education, secure good jobs, and enjoy healthy and safe lives. Furthermore, we are committed to providing community support programs that empower individuals to grow, learn, and thrive, ultimately becoming great and productive citizens. Recognizing the need for energetic nonprofit work in this area, we formed our organization to deliver sensible solutions. We provide individuals and families with food, clothing, and support systems to enhance their lives. Additionally, we partner with other organizations to offer wrap-around services that assist our clients in overcoming challenges. Our growth has been consistent, all thanks to the supportive hands of this amazing community!

We reach out to these individuals to help them alleviate stress-related factors that affect their lives. Our mission is to provide families with the essential support they require.

Our TeamMeet The Board of Directors For Future Leaders of American Charters, Inc. The members are as follows: Dr. Sondra B. Samuels is board president and spokesperson for FLAC. She is an educator with a wealth of experiences in various roles such as teacher, substitute principal, principal of an after school program, counselor, multi-dis

Our TeamMeet The Board of Directors For Future Leaders of American Charters, Inc. The members are as follows: Dr. Sondra B. Samuels is board president and spokesperson for FLAC. She is an educator with a wealth of experiences in various roles such as teacher, substitute principal, principal of an after school program, counselor, multi-disciplinary team leader of special education, educational consultant, and adjunct professor in the Kansas City metro area. Her responsibilities include ensuring that members are familiar with their duties, staying compliant with applicable laws and bylaws, and conducting board business effectively and efficiently. Latory Burks is vice president. She is a Human Resources professional experienced in a variety of industries, including consumer-packaged goods, healthcare, biosciences, financial services, manufacturing, and technology. Her core competencies include strategic planning, employee relations, compensation and benefits, risk management, and organizational development. One of her major responsibilities is to step in and fulfill the duties of the president in the case of the president's absence. Christi Samuels, MBA, is secretary. She is a highly accomplished Senior Sales Executive who drives achievement of revenue goals by cultivating strong relationships with customer representatives. Leveraging 2B sales, she has expertise in training, development, and mentoring junior employees. She takes minutes during meetings and ensures they are accurate. Additionally, she ensures the safety and privacy of all board documents and records. Audrey Riser, BA, is board treasurer. She is a versatile IT professional with skills in project management, programming, business systems analysis, and design. Committed to quality and integrity, she oversees budgets of 2 million for the Treasury Department. As treasurer, she ensures that all finances are accurate and is responsible for coordinating the financial oversight and health of the organization, which plays a vital role in supporting community support programs in the Dallas-Ft Worth nonprofit sector. She works very closely with the president and is also a signer on legal and financial documents. Furthermore, she is responsible for understanding audits and preparing financial reports, which are essential in addressing educational challenges.
